Inconvenient Interviews with Risa: Ladies of Orange is the New Black

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  Two of the most talked about events of 2013 were the controversial Netflix series ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK and the film WOLF OF WALLSTREET.  The two women in my latest interview play roles in these.  Cathy Curtin is an incredible character actress whose extensive stage work has been highlighted by a brilliant portrayal of Janis Joplin in “Love, Janis” for which she was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award.  She has been featured in too many television shows and films to list, but among them are such titles as GUIDING LIGHT, REVOLUTIONARY ROAD, and BOURNE LEGACY. Alysia Reiner is also an award winning actress, guest starring in virtually every popular TV show over the last decade and known for roles in SIDEWAYS, KISSING JESSICA STEIN, and many more films including eight currently in production.  She also produced her own award winning film SPEED GRIEVING and has partnered with The Cancer Support Community, implementing it as a tool to help those in grief and mourning.  Alysia is involved in numerous charities and is a champion of all things Eco-Friendly.

Since these two ladies are good friends, I was lucky enough to catch them both at the same time, doing their daily work outs in a park in NYC. They are so lovely and fun and I hope you all enjoy getting to know a little more about them with me!

In my new interview I talk to highly acclaimed stage and screen actress Maria Dizzia, a recent Drama Desk Award nominee for best actress in the play BELLEVILLE, and a 2010 Tony Award nominee for her featured work in IN THE NEXT ROOM (the Vibrator Play). She’s been seen not only on stage but she’s also done brilliant work on television in LOUIE and LAW AND ORDER, and in the film MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE.  We chatted during one of her few free moments, while she was getting laser hair removal.

Here’s the second part of my interview, with the rest of the cast of HAND TO GOD!
